Northwest Steelheaders is working to increase female representation in the fishing community in an effort to create a more equitable, inclusive, and strong society of anglers.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/nwsteelheaders.org\/programs\/recreation\/womens-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/nwsteelheaders.org\/programs\/recreation\/womens-program\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1595178290279000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEVkcxBaroRCuXz5Wv8bKxI6FK39w\">Here is our new Women&#8217;s Program webpage&nbsp;<\/a><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">What I need from you: please <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/him9fbRT5mx48LDD7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/forms.gle\/him9fbRT5mx48LDD7&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1595178290279000&amp;usg=AFQjCNH9XvuY74YyCFNFBYFKh1N-5NYE_w\">share this survey<\/a> with women at your chapters to help gauge interest. (I\u0019ve attached a PDF of the survey below if you have trouble with the link). We have already secured some funding to begin the program, so now I need to know how our members would like us to proceed.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">I will also be including this survey in an email to our membership and in the July newsletter, so our bases will be covered.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Program Objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Support novice female anglers by offering events that provide knowledge, hands-on training, gear, and time on the water.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Support financially disadvantaged female anglers by offering full and half scholarships for these events.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Create a more equitable, inclusive, and strong society of anglers through the empowerment of female anglers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Build a group of dedicated female anglers that can share their skills and knowledge with each other and the next generation of female anglers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">NOTE: This program is by women, for women &#8211; meaning all volunteers\/instructors at clinics, fish-alongs, etc. must be women.
